'A Heavenly Melancholy' Review
"Rubber Pop Made In Holland: Gitane Demone"
1992

The cover of her debut record alone is well worth purchasing-clad completely in black rubber, a tightly laced rubber corset over the skin-tight suit, in bonnet and gauntlets, reclining luxuriously on a black rubber bed-sheet, this songstress from Amsterdam makes it only too clear what kind of fetish gear turns her on. The music is easy on the ear, danceable pop (Heavenly Melancholy, Torso Dance 1221 5). Of course, Gitane got her costume from DEMASK whose whole team can be seen on her first video.

We’re looking forward with greatest interest to her LP-or perhaps it’d be nicer to have lots of singles with fantastically beautiful covers!
