Shadow Stand

Cool, collapsing breeze utters through my mind
And stranger still I linger on unsure of how or why
In silent darkness I see you rise
With fading lilacs I reside
And pushed aside by your relentless eyes
Silent pleasures nothing more to hide

But I should know by now that pain is just a cross to bear
And I've been shown that love's not blind and love's not fair

A river of tears lost on your face
Your eyes like air I beathe you in
