POEM (DEDICATED
TO THE MEMORY OF LUCIE)
There
is a silence in your bedroom
and it
lies deep inside your heart
You sit
dumbly in the corner
as I watch
you fall apart
I don't
know how it started
but I
hear you softly weep
And I
can find no words to say to you
as the
tears run down your cheek
I didn't
know how to comfort you,
I couldn't
move from your bed
I told
you not to worry
and left
so much more unsaid
That night
was long ago
and you
have since been taken away
But I
still think about you
and the
words I did not say
